Laura Nash (she/her)

Laura Nash is a freelance communications specialist, writer, and artist living in Portland, Oregon. She is founder and owner of Near Ash Creative LLC.

Since 2014, Laura has provided communications services primarily to nonprofits and foundations in the Pacific Northwest. She considers herself a communications generalist but gets the most excited about communications and narrative strategy work. Laura serves on Showing Up for Racial Justice Portland’s Core Team, Indigenous Solidarity Action Group, and Administration/Communications Work Group, as well as 350PDX’s Creative Team. Laura received a B.A. in Studio Art and East Asian Studies from Lewis & Clark College and an M.A. in Critical Studies and M.F.A. in Applied Craft + Design from Pacific Northwest College of Art. She loves reading and writing visionary speculative fiction, studying languages on Duolingo (currently Mandarin), craft and game days with friends, and cat cuddles.
